Awaken Pediatric Therapy is a private pay practice, meaning we do not bill insurance at this time. There are options for using Step Up for Students (UA) or a monthly Superbill will be provided if you choose to file out-of-network. HSA cards are also accepted.
Sessions are scheduled weekly or twice a week as needed. Reminders will be given 24 hours in advance by text. You will have direct contact with your therapist in the event you need to reschedule!
What is step up for students UA and does my child qualify?
The Step Up For Students Family Empowerment Scholarship for Unique Abilities is a scholarship program through the state of Florida that allows you to spend scholarship funds on different expenses from private school, curriculums, specialists, and therapists to include OT. Once awarded, your account will be funded, allowing you to pay for or be reimbursed for approved expenses such as OT.
To qualify, your child must be age 3 through 12th grade or age 22, whichever comes first. They must also have proof of one of the eligible diagnoses listed such as ASD, learning disability, speech impairment, down syndrome, intellectual disability, and more.
